Job summary

Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, PA, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks an experienced PACU RN to deliver care in the perioperative setting. You will work under the OR Charge Nurse and Surgical Services Director to ensure safe, efficient post-anesthesia recovery.

Requirements include a current state RN license, BLS, ACLS within 30 days of hire, and prior PACU or critical care experience; BSN preferred; CCRN preferred. Per Diem employment, daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Critical Care or PACU experience or minimum of one year on the job training.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in PACU using the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinate post-operative care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist and guide other personnel.
• Communicate patient condition changes to physicians, monitor hemodynamics and test results.
• Adhere to regulations, standards, and hospital policies; participate in PI activities and meetings.
• Act as a resource for staff and contribute to unit organization and throughput.
