Qualifications

• Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York (RN license in NYS).

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes unit quality data and participates in improvement efforts to meet quality and safety goals.
• Collects, assesses and documents patient healthcare data.
• Directs the patient/family and inter-disciplinary team to identify a measurable care plan.
• Prioritizes care based on data and documents assessment in medical records.
• Coordinates patient care to be safe, timely and appropriate, and supports escalation processes.
• Educates patient/family on health status and plan of care, and assesses learning needs.
• Collaborates with the team to modify expected outcomes and evaluates progress.
• Ensures adherence to NYS Nurse Practice Act and regulatory requirements.
