Job summary

Independence Health System Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a designated patient group. The RN will float between Short Stay and Recovery, coordinating with the care team and participating in a 24/7 call rotation to meet post-operative needs.

The role requires a nursing degree, active RN licensure in Pennsylvania, and strong leadership and communication skills to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and efficient unit operation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Strong leadership ability and independent thinking.
• Ability to communicate complex topics to diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of legal aspects and liability of nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a designated group of patients.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Document patient care in records and maintain confidentiality.
• Participate in call rotations to cover post-operative care 24/7.
• Provide emotional and family support and patient education.
