Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a Recovery Room (PACU) Registered Nurse for a day shift at Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ. The role requires an active NJ RN license and minimum 2 years in OR/PACU or critical care, plus BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

The PACU nurse will monitor vitals, manage nausea and pain, and coordinate post-anesthesia care with the surgical team to ensure safe patient recovery and education for families.

Qualifications

• Active NJ RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years in OR, PACU or critical care.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within required timeframe.
• PALS certification within required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and patient status in PACU.
• Treat postoperative nausea, vomiting, and pain.
• Manage post-anesthetic shivering and comfort measures.
• Monitor surgical sites for bleeding, discharge, swelling, or infection.
• Coordinate post-anesthesia care with surgical team and family.
