Job summary

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification.
• BSN strongly preferred or must obtain within 3 years.
• Critical care experience mandatory/PACU experience preferred.
• The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, accountability for improving patients' lives, teamwork, and a patient-focused approach are required.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care to provide safe, excellent, individualized patient-centered care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team regarding patient's status, care and treatment plans.
• Responsible for optimal patient/guest satisfaction and care experience according to Hackensack Meridian Health standards.
• Medication administration utilizing the latest clinical documentation technology to ensure safe delivery of medications.
• Patient and family-centered care aimed at optimizing health, wellness and disease management.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration in management of the patient's plan of care from admission to discharge.
