Job summary

Huntington Hospital in Pasadena is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU to coordinate care in the immediate post-anesthesia period. This 12-hour day shift role requires applying nursing process, critical thinking, and discharge planning to support patients and families. BSN is required; ADN may be considered if enrolled in a BSN program with degree completion within 2 years.

CA RN license, BLS, PALS, ACLS are mandatory; CPAN preferred. Minimum 1 year acute care experience; 2 years preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• ADN considered if enrolled in BSN program with completion within 2 years.
• CA RN license (BRN) required with current BLS, PALS and ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care across the care continuum using nursing process.
• Monitor post-anesthesia patients and manage discharge planning.
• Communicate with physicians and transfer patients per orders.
• Maintain competencies and participate in code blue drills.
