Job summary

Pediatric Surgery Center-Tampa, part of United Surgical Partners International, invites a Part-Time PACU Registered Nurse to join our ambulatory surgical team. You will provide continuity of care for patients emerging from anesthesia, assess needs, and support families in the PACU.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited RN program, active FL RN license, BLS/ACLS (PALS as required), and 2 years in PACU/ICU. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • Active RN license in the state of Florida.
  • BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
  • 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient needs.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients in PACU.
  • Assess patient condition, ensure safety, comfort, and privacy.
  • Assist physicians in procedure rooms with sedation and sterile technique as needed.
  • Deliver comprehensive care from anesthesia emergence to discharge planning.

Part-Time PACU Registered Nurse

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Pediatric Surgery Center-Tampa

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient’s condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications
