Job summary

Amazing Surgery Center is hiring a Pre-Op/PACU RN for a full-time day shift with no call or weekends. You will care for patients in pre-op and PACU and rotate into the procedure room to assist with pain management.

The ideal candidate has an active CT RN license, PACU/ICU experience, and strong aseptic technique with excellent communication skills in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut RN license (unrestricted).
• PACU or critical care nursing experience required.
• Ambulatory surgery center experience preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge for pre-op and PACU nursing.
• Willingness to learn procedure-room RN responsibilities.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• ASPAN/CAPA certification preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique, anesthetic agents, complications, and emergency response.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Job Details

Schedule & Work Environment:

• Full-time position (M-F, 5x8s)
• No weekends
• No on-call rotation
• Collaborative, professional ambulatory surgery environment

Position Overview:

• The Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to patients throughout the pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery phases of their surgical experience. This role will also rotate into the procedure room to support pain management cases.
• The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in perioperative nursing, post-anesthesia recovery, pain management, and patient education, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ambulatory surgical setting.

Qualifications:
