Jobot is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse - OR Circulator for a full-time, permanent role at our ambulatory surgery center in Connecticut. Shifts are 4x10s or 5x8s, with start times around 7 am; there are no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call duties.

The role involves preparing the OR, assisting surgeons, monitoring vitals, coordinating post-op care, and maintaining sterile conditions. Candidates should have a BSN preferred, CT RN license, 2+ years OR circulating experience

Qualifications

Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and passionate Full time, Permanent Registered Nurse - OR Circulator to join our dynamic healthcare team.

Shift: 4x10s or 5x8s, Day shift, cases start at 7am. No nights, No weekends, No holidays, No call

Salary: $39 - $55 per hour

Responsibilities

1. Preparing the operating room for surgery, setting up surgical instruments and equipment, maintaining sterile conditions.
2. Adhering to safety standards and precautions, including verifying patient identity and reviewing surgical procedures to prevent errors.
3. Assessing patients before surgery (e.g., NPO status) and comforting them while alleviating their anxiety.
4. Assisting surgeons during surgery by passing instruments and other sterile supplies.
5. Working together with the surgical team, communicating patient information, and ensuring patient safety during the operation.
6. Monitoring patient's vital signs and maintaining patient's safety during the operation.
7. Coordinating post-operative care, including patient recovery and room turnover.
8. Documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing patient care requirements.
9. Participating in ongoing educational activities to maintain competency and improve professional skills.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
2. Current Connecticut state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
3. A minimum of 2 years of circulating experience in an operating room, including experience in orthopedics
4. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
5. Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification preferred.
6. Demonstrated ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
8. Proficient in the use of medical software and equipment.
