Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Phase 2 Recovery & Discharge, full-time day shifts. The role delivers patient-centered care across the nursing process, coordinating with physicians and the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

The PACU duties include waking patients, assessing pain, monitoring vitals, managing IV fluids, wound dressings, and educating families about post-operative care and discharge.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of nursing experience in acute care required.
• Current RN license required; BCLS mandatory.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and document findings per nursing process.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Coordinate with physicians and care teams for care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge instructions.
• Maintain infection prevention and safety standards.
• Maintain patient safety and perform PACU-related tasks.
