Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse in the Recovery Room for a full-time evening schedule from 11:00am to 7:30pm with on-call requirements. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the PACU, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications include a valid state RN license, BLS, ACLS within 30 days, and PACU or critical care experience. BSN preferred; CCRN welcomed as an asset.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire.
• Previous Critical Care or PACU experience or on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process for all PACU patients.
• Coordinate post-operative care with surgeon and anesthesiologist.
• Direct and guide other personnel while maintaining PACU standards of care.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and document results.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and unit meetings.
