Job summary

Watson Clinic LLP is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit in Lakeland, Florida. The role covers preoperative and postoperative nursing care for ambulatory surgical patients, including assessments, preparation, monitoring, and discharge planning.

You will collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and the recovery team to ensure patient safety, administer medications and IVs, monitor vital signs, and provide clear post-op instructions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Nursing.
• Active Florida RN license.
• Minimum of one year experience in PACU or Critical Care.
• Current CPR, ACLS and PALC certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, direct and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients in preop and postop.
• Perform pre-admission assessment by phone or in person.
• Prepare and communicate data to anesthesiologist; provide pre instructions.
• Coordinate with reception and OR/Endoscopic to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Administer medications, IVs; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Provide post-op instructions and discharge planning; assist in emergencies.
• Maintain recovery area safety and restock as needed.
