Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Patient Transportation Technician for second shift (evenings). This full-time, non-exempt role involves transporting patients, visitors, medications, and specimens using beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs.

The position requires basic life support within 90 days and emphasizes safety, teamwork, and professional conduct. Ideal candidates will have 1 year of customer service experience and prefer prior direct patient care.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service experience preferred.
• Prior direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients, visitors requiring assistance, medications, specimens, blood products, films and other items to authorized personnel.
• Transports all items using beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs.
• Assists in lifting patients into beds and to required destinations.
• Maintains logs on items picked up and delivered.
• Maintains a clean, professional and safe work area. Maintains a neat appearance.
• Communicates problems to Supervisor promptly.
