Job summary

Sisters of Charity Hospital, part of Catholic Health, is seeking a Transport Assistant (Part Time w/Benefits) to safely move patients to and from the Operating Room, and to transport specimens, supplies, and equipment for the PACU team under RN delegation.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and be able to assist patients, operate hospital systems, and communicate effectively with staff. Hours include Days and Evenings; 0.4 FTE with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting in some support role is preferred.
• Prior experience in patient transfers and the use of assistive equipment is desired.
• Prior experience with hospital computer information system preferred.
• Basic office experience with telephones, copier, fax machine preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Transport Assistant moves patients to and from the Operating Room while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Transports specimens, supplies and equipment as needed and supports patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
