Job summary

Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham is hiring a Patient Care Assistant to support PACU teams under RN/LPN supervision. The role handles assistive care, communication for patients, families, and staff, and participates in ongoing post-anesthesia recovery activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must complete Clinical Care Partners program after hire.
• Current BLS certification required.
• At least 1 year staff-level patient care experience or equivalent qualifications (CNA, CMA, CCMA, PCT, EMT, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Assist care team under RN/LPN supervision in PACU.
• Provide assistive care and clear communication for patients and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
