Job summary

The Elliot Health System in Manchester, NH is seeking a dedicated PACU RN to provide post-anesthesia care. You will monitor vitals, manage pain medications, administer IV fluids, and support families during recovery.

New Hampshire RN license or compact license is required, with BLS; ACLS is preferred. The role involves fast-paced care, discharge planning, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe recovery for patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• New Hampshire Registered Nurse or Compact State Registered Nurse License.
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment. ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring vital signs and conducting assessments for postoperative patients.
• Providing comfort and pain relief, and administering IV fluids as prescribed.
• Educating patients and families about recovery progress and care at home.
• Assisting with discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition home.
• Collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure quality care.
• Documenting postoperative care accurately in medical records.
