Responsibilities

• Providing postoperative care by monitoring vital signs and conducting assessments.
• Providing comfort measures to ensure patient comfort during recovery from anesthesia.
• Administering medications, pain relief, and IV fluids as prescribed by the physician.
• Educating patients on their recovery progress and answering questions.
• Assisting with discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition home.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide the best care after surgery.
• Documenting patient’s postoperative care in medical records accurately and completely.
