Job summary

Columbia Oakwood Surgery Center in Round Rock, TX is seeking a PACU Nurse to join our ambulatory surgery team. You will provide safe postoperative nursing care and help patients achieve discharge criteria while collaborating with surgeons and the care team.

This role offers staffing support, access to advanced monitoring technology, and a comprehensive benefits package. The center performs numerous cases monthly and values compassionate, family‑centered care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma in nursing required.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment.
• BCLS certification; ACLS within 30 days; PALS if required by facility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare care area and ensure equipment and supplies are available.
• Manage airway and monitor vital signs per policy.
• Insert/maintain IV lines and perform head‑to‑toe assessments.
• Document postoperative evaluations and discharge readiness.
• Report abnormalities to the surgeon and ensure safe recovery.
• Maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients and families.
