Job summary

Surgery Center of Columbia, an outpatient surgical facility, seeks a Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care before and after surgery. The RN will plan, direct, and coordinate nursing care, caring for patients from 1 month to geriatric in a fast-paced environment.

Position is full-time, weekdays only with some later evenings; holidays and weekends are not required. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• ACLS Required.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for pre- or post-surgical patients.
• Cares for patients from 1 month to geriatric.
• Maintain compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and Federal/State standards.
• Weekdays only with some later evenings; no holidays, weekends, or call.
