Job summary

Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center is seeking a PACU Nurse Director in Las Vegas to lead the unit’s operations, staffing and patient flow. You will drive quality patient care, oversee budget and staffing plans, and collaborate on policies to align with hospital objectives.

We require a Nevada RN license, a Bachelor’s in Nursing, BLS/ACLS certifications, and at least 1+ year of leadership experience in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or clinical specialty required.
• Current RN license in Nevada required; BLS and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in PACU with 24/7 responsibility for unit operations and staffing.
• Forecast, plan and monitor budget and staffing to meet facility objectives.
• Foster accountability and collaboration; develop and implement policies and procedures.
• Ensure efficient patient throughput through patient flow coordination and admission/discharge planning.
• Maintain labor management, scheduling, productivity, and premium pay utilization while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Master's Degree preferred

Job Summary And Qualifications

• You will ensure high quality, patient-centered nursing care through 24/7 responsibility for the operational performance and staffing of the unit/ department, in addition to forecasting, planning and budget monitoring.


• You will foster a culture of accountability and collaboration and support the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives.


• You will ensure efficient patient throughput through volume forecasting, patient flow coordination, and admission/discharge planning


• You will ensure effective labor management, including position control, scheduling excellence, productivity management , and premium pay utilization, and maintain staffing to ensure appropriate care


• You will stay abreast of legal and regulatory standards and ensure compliance; develop and implement policies, procedures. and practices in compliance with all legal/ regulatory standards

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or other clinical specialty required


• Master's Degree preferred


• 1+ years applicable experience required


• 3+ years applicable experience preferred


• Current license as a registered nurse or other licensed clinician in the state of Nevada, in accordance with law and regulation, required


• Basic Life Support required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support required
