Job summary

Aptive Resources, in partnership with Valor Healthcare, seeks a Clinical Associate to support PACT at the Yreka, CA CBOC. This full-time contract role requires a current California license (LPN/LVN) or VA-recognized equivalent, BLS, and ambulatory care experience.

You will collaborate with PACT staff to develop care plans, manage clinic flow, perform vitals and point-of-care testing, and assist with procedures while ensuring patient confidentiality and safety.

Qualifications

• Current, full, active, unrestricted license/certification in California or meet VA Standards.
• BLS certification; ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Must complete VA credentialing and background check prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation and care within licensure/certification to patients in PACT.
• Collaborate with PACT staff on health care and care management plans.
• Manage clinic workflow and patient room placement for timely care.
• Perform vitals, point-of-care tests, and assist with procedures.
• Maintain medical terminology knowledge, aseptic technique, infection control, and confidentiality.
• Train to serve as backup for telehealth services.

Clinical Associate – LPN/LVN or Health Technician/Nursing Assistant

Aptive Resources, in partnership with Valor Healthcare, is hiring a Clinical Associate to provide direct clinical support within the PACT model at the proposed Yreka, CA CBOC, pending VA contract award.

On-Site | Yreka VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC), 807 S. Main St., Yreka, CA 96097

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:30am–5:30pm (Clinic Operating Hours); 8:00am–4:30pm Patient Schedule Hours

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation and care consistent with licensure/certification to patients assigned to PACTs
• Collaborate with PACT staff on comprehensive health care and care management plans
• Manage clinic workflow and ensure timely placement of patients in examination rooms
• Perform vitals, point-of-care testing, and assist with procedures
• Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, aseptic technique, infection control, and patient confidentiality
• Receive training to serve as backup for telehealth services (e.g., Store & Forward, Clinical Video Telehealth)
• Complete assigned tasks within the clinic session without delaying patient care

Minimum Qualifications

• LPN/LVN: Current, full, active, unrestricted license; current BLS certification; ambulatory care experience
• OR Health Technician/Nursing Assistant: Meets VA Qualification Standards for Nursing Assistant, or OPM Health Aid and Technician Series 0640
• Must hold a current, full, active, and unrestricted license/certification (as applicable to the position) in California, or otherwise meet VA Qualification Standards for the position.
• Must successfully complete VA credentialing/privileging review and a background investigation (cleared through OPM via the VA Security and Investigations Center) prior to starting work; PIV credentialing required.
• Must complete required VA mandatory training and maintain current licensure/certification documentation annually.
