Job summary

New York Imaging (NYI) in New Hyde Park, NY seeks a Radiology Systems Administrator to support PACS/RIS, HL7, DICOM workflows, and EHR integration. You will train users, configure diagnostic workstations, and ensure data integrity for reliable image management across radiology teams.

The role requires 2+ years in Radiology IT, familiarity with PACS/RIS, and strong problem-solving skills. Salary starts at $150,000 with generous benefits and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HL7, DICOM, XML and HTML in healthcare IT environments.
• 2+ years of experience in Radiology IT and PACS/RIS.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Train and support users on PACS.
• Assist radiologists with workstation configurations and hanging protocols.
• Support QC programs for diagnostic workstations.
• Administer PACS/RIS, add users, manage permissions, ensure data integrity.
• Configure diagnostic workstations and HL7/DICOM interfaces.
• Install new DICOM modality connections and validate HL7 data workflows.
• Troubleshoot system and connectivity issues and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments on software/hardware updates.
• Maintain EHR integration with RIS and manage image transfers.
