Job summary

ChristianaCare in Newark, Delaware is seeking a Full-Time PACS System Administrator to manage and support PACS and related clinical systems within the Imaging Department. This role emphasizes on-day operations, image workflow, archiving, and reliable data transfer across RIS/DICOM interfaces.

The administrator will develop user training, implement system improvements with Radiologists and IS, ensure policy compliance, and drive QA/QC initiatives to enhance patient imaging services.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science or related field required.
• Two-year radiology information systems experience preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Operates day-to-day PACS equipment, image workflow, archiving, and pre-fetching.
• Ensures proper operation of DICOM data transfer into PACS and RIS validation.
• Performs database changes to meet new business needs and project initiatives.
• Analyzes and develops solutions with IS staff for clinical system support.
• Identifies and resolves PACS and clinical system problems and communicates progress.
