Job summary

NOVO Health Services, a linen management provider for hospitals in Skokie, IL, seeks a full-time associate to identify linen product lines, assemble carts, weigh carts, and enter data. The role requires the ability to lift 25–50 pounds and to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

NOVO Health keenly focuses on safety and infection control and provides its partner hospitals with a value-driven linen management control system that measures and monitors linen utilization by department to eliminate excess internal costs. NOVO's wide range of service programs offer a variety of options to provide a seamless, single source distribution system. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Can identify the various lines of linen products the company offers and their respective functions.
• Builds bulk carts by filling them with the individual linen product
• Reads the individual customer tickets and ensures the proper product and count are then loaded into the cart.
• Weighs carts in /out and enter data into a computer program
• Works independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Assist and perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Required Good analytical skills to be able to determine the number of carts required for orders.
• Ability to work in a noisy fast fast-paced environment.
• Ability to climb, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and stack individual items for long periods.
• Ability to lift to 25 - 50 pounds
• Ability to push or pull a cart that may weigh 100 pounds and use simple tools.
• Ability to count items and verify against prepared lists.
• Demonstrated customer service and organization skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety procedures.
• Preferred 1 to 2 years of experience in the health care, manufacturing, or similarly situated industries.
• High School Education, GED, and formal education/training.
• Basic computer knowledge and the willingness to learn new computer applications.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in manufacturing, production, or the service industry.

Pay starts at $16.25/hour
