Job summary

LEGO Group is seeking a Packing Supervisor for the night shift to lead automated packaging lines and ensure safe, efficient production. You will oversee cross-functional collaboration across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality and Planning to maintain output and quality targets.

You will monitor KPIs, coach frontline operators, and drive continuous improvement through standardized processes, documentation and data-driven decisions. Hybrid work policy applies with regular office days.

Imagine leading cutting-edge automated production lines to ensure seamless and efficient manufacturing processes. As a Packing Supervisor on the 2nd shift, you'll drive operational excellence and innovation in a dynamic, automated manufacturing environment.

About the Role

As our Packing Supervisor, you'll oversee daily operations across highly automated production lines, ensuring safe, stable, and efficient execution of the production plan. You'll coordinate activities between Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams to maintain operational continuity. Your role will involve monitoring production KPIs, overseeing automation systems through MES, SCADA, HMI, and leading problem-solving activities to address downtime and quality concerns. You'll also coach and develop frontline operators and technicians, supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, production flow, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing or production operations leading teams in a production or automated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with automated equipment, robotics, PLC-controlled systems, or material handling systems.
  • Experience with MES, SCADA, HMI, or production monitoring systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams during operational issues or production disruptions.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and team development skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in highly automated or Industry 4.0 manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting production ramp-ups or changeovers.
  • Knowledge of structured problem-solving tools such as PDCA, A3, or 5-Why.
  • Experience in consumer goods, automotive, plastics, electronics, or advanced manufacturing industries.
  • Desired education in engineering, automation, mechatronics, technical operations, or a similar field is preferred.
What You’ll Build

You’ll lead daily operations to ensure safe and efficient production, guide teams on automation capabilities, and improve production quality through data-driven recommendations. You'll support the standardization of processes and documentation, partner with stakeholders across the value chain, and help expand the use of automation tools across the organization.

Life on the Team

The Packing Operations department is responsible for managing pre-packing and final packing of LEGO boxes at LEGO Manufacturing Virginia. You'll work with a team of specialists who collaborate closely across functions, taking ownership of your work and approaching challenges with a practical mindset. You'll thrive by building strong relationships, supporting others' learning, and contributing to shared goals.

Success means consistently delivering stable production performance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You'll work closely with colleagues and partners across the value chain to strengthen capabilities, improve processes, and create lasting impact.

Additional Details

This position is for the night shift, 6 pm to 6 am (2-2-3) schedule. Some minimal travel may be required. No relocation will be available.

Compensation

The salary for this position has a range of $84,674.00 - $127,010.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
