The LEGO Group in Virginia, USA is seeking a Packing Supervisor to oversee highly automated packing lines during the night shift, driving safe and efficient production and operational excellence.

You will coordinate cross-functional activities, monitor KPIs, and coach frontline operators while leading continuous improvement for equipment reliability and production flow.

About the Role

As our Packing Supervisor,you’lloversee daily operations across highly automated production lines, ensuring safe, stable, and efficient execution of the production plan.You’llcoordinate activities between Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams tomaintainoperational continuity. Your role will involve monitoringproductionKPIs, overseeing automation systems through MES, SCADA, HMI, and leading problem-solving activities to address downtime and quality concerns.You’llalso coach and develop frontline operators and technicians, supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, production flow, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing or productionoperationsleading teams in a production or automated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with automated equipment, robotics, PLC-controlled systems, or material handling systems.
  • Experience with MES, SCADA, HMI, or production monitoring systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams during operational issues or production disruptions.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and team development skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in highly automated or Industry 4.0 manufacturing environments.
  • Leanmanufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience supporting production ramp-ups or changeovers.
  • Knowledge of structured problem-solving tools such as PDCA, A3, or 5-Why.
  • Experience in consumer goods, automotive, plastics, electronics, or advanced manufacturing industries.
  • Desired education in engineering, automation, mechatronics, technical operations, or a similar field is preferred.
What You’ll Build

You’lllead daily operations to ensure safe and efficient production, guide teams on automation capabilities, and improve production quality through data-driven recommendations.You’llsupport the standardization of processes and documentation, partner with stakeholders across the value chain, and help expand the use of automation tools across the organization.

Life on the Team

The Packing Operations departmentis responsible formaraging pre-packing and final packing of LEGO boxes at LEGO Manufacturing Virginia.You’llwork with a team of specialists who collaborate closely across functions, taking ownership of your work and approaching challenges with a practical mindset.You’llthrive by building strong relationships, supporting others’ learning, and contributing to shared goals.

  • This position is for the night shift, 6 pm to 6 am (2-2-3) schedule
  • Some minimal travel may be required
  • No relocation will be available
Compensation

The salary for this position has a range of $84,674.00 - $127,010.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
