Job summary

Altor Solutions in Tennessee is seeking a Fabrication Operator to pack product from a conveyor into drying racks, boxes or bags and to prepare finished goods for storage.

The role requires working a 12-hour rotating shift (5:00 AM–5:00 PM) with weekly alternations, performing quality checks, operating tape machines, and helping with material handling and housekeeping, all while following safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and basic math skills required.
• 3–6 months of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Packs product via a conveyor into drying racks, boxes or bags.
• Packs finished product obtained from drying racks or storage boxes into plastic bags or boxes.
• Uses heavy-duty tape machines, cuts tape and wraps product for storage delivery.
• Lifts and moves completed boxes or bags to designated locations.
• Receives and complies with production instructions and packing details.
• Completes packing reports and quality/production forms as required.
• Performs visual inspections and uses measuring tools to ensure acceptable quality.
• Maintains inventory of packing materials and notifies when replenishment is needed.
• Observes machine operation for defects and notifies supervisor.
• Supports safe work practices, housekeeping, and shift coverage needs.

Education

High School diploma; basic math skills
