Job summary

The Hire Source in Waterbury, CT is seeking a Packing Machine Operator for 1st shift on a contract-to-hire basis. You will inspect and pack finished coated products for shipment in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities include packaging, labeling, stacking cartons, quality inspections, and maintaining clean work areas. Ongoing on‑the‑job training is provided; strong attention to detail and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong, verifiable work history with reliable attendance.
• Ability to follow safety rules and wear required protective equipment.
• High attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Physical stamina with ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting (noise, machinery, fumes).
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Package finished coated products into cartons for shipment.
• Tape, label, and stack cartons onto skids properly.
• Inspect cans and coating for defects according to quality standards.
• Move completed skids to designated staging areas.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas (housekeeping).
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Assist with general production support as needed.
