Job summary

The Hire Source is seeking a Packing Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in Waterbury, CT. This contract-to-hire role involves hands-on packaging of finished coated products for shipment and ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced production environment.

You will inspect, package, label, and stack items, maintain clean work areas, and follow all safety guidelines. Prior manufacturing exposure and reliable attendance are important for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Strong, verifiable work history with reliable attendance.
• Ability to follow safety rules and wear required PPE.
• High attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Manufacturing setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Package finished coated products into cartons for shipment.
• Tape, label, and stack cartons onto skids properly.
• Inspect cans and coating for defects according to quality standards.
• Move completed skids to designated staging areas.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas (housekeeping).
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Assist with general production support as needed.
