Qualifications

• Previous packing, production, manufacturing, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Previous Line Lead, Team Lead, or similar leadership experience preferred.
• Previous quality control, quality inspection, or product inspection experience required.
• Comfortable operating packaging machinery and learning the production line machine.
• Ability to work as a working lead alongside the team and perform duties.
• English/Spanish bilingual preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues.
• Dependable with strong attendance in a fast-paced environment.

Packing Line Lead

Pay: $17.00–$18.00 per hour

Custom Filters Direct is hiring a Packing Line Lead to help lead one of our production packing lines.

This is a hands-on working lead position. You will work directly alongside the team while also being responsible for the overall performance of your line, including quality, productivity, staffing, organization, equipment operation, and employee support.

Responsibilities

• Work directly on the packing line while leading and supporting the team
• Operate the packaging machine as part of daily production responsibilities
• Monitor the packaging machine and help address minor operating or workflow issues
• Keep the packing line organized, productive, and running efficiently
• Assign employees to work areas and ensure everyone understands their responsibilities
• Inspect finished products and packaging for quality issues or defects
• Monitor product quality throughout the shift and ensure quality and packing standards are consistently followed
• Identify quality concerns and communicate defects, recurring issues, or necessary rework to the appropriate supervisor
• Help the team meet daily production and productivity goals
• Train and assist new employees on packing procedures, quality expectations, and equipment operation
• Communicate instructions clearly with employees and management
• Monitor staffing and communicate attendance or headcount concerns to supervisors
• Ensure the line has the materials and supplies needed to continue production
• Address minor workflow issues and escalating larger production, equipment, or quality concerns to management
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Ensure employees follow company safety, quality, and production procedures

Qualifications

• Previous packing, production, manufacturing, or warehouse experience preferred
• Previous Line Lead, Team Lead, or similar leadership experience preferred
• Previous quality control, quality inspection, or product inspection experience required
• Must be comfortable operating and working around packaging machinery
• Must be willing and able to learn and operate the packaging machine used on the production line
• Must be comfortable being a working lead and performing production and packing duties alongside the team
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product or packaging quality issues
• Dependable with strong attendance
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to keep employees on task while maintaining positive working relationships with the team

Pay

$17.00–$18.00 per hour, based on experience.
