Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Hanover, PA is seeking a dedicated Packer to join our manufacturing team. You will inspect and pack quality products into boxes, cans, and containers in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting items, verifying codes and dates, ensuring proper seals, preparing items for production, and maintaining a sanitary work area in line with OSHA, FDA and GMP standards. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand constantly.

Qualifications

• Requires basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to stand 100% of the time.
• Moderate lifting (40lbs).

Responsibilities

• Inspects packaged items and alerts team members of defects.
• Verifies code, dates, and price on items.
• Examines package seals for integrity.
• Reports conditions that could contaminate product.
• Packs product into cartons, cans, and specialty containers and places them on skids/conveyors.
• Prepares items for production (cans/labels/trays/rework items).
• Maintains a sanitary work environment following OSHA, FDA and GMP standards.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
