Job summary

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a dedicated Packer to join our manufacturing team in Hanover, PA. You will inspect and pack quality products into boxes, cartons, cans, and specialty containers, working at your individual station within a team environment.

You will monitor quality and food safety, scan finished goods into inventory, set up packing areas, and help with sanitation duties. The role requires standing all day and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Requires basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to fluently communicate in and read English or Spanish.
• Must be willing and able to stand 100% of the time
• Requires knowledge of product quality and production processes.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, pivot regularly.

Responsibilities

• Inspects packaged items and alerts machine operator or shift supervisor of any changes.
• Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.
• Moves product from packing area to warehouse by pulling jacks filled with product.
• Accurately scans finished product into inventory with use of scanning equipment.
• Sets up mats and cartons for packers before production begins each day.
• Prepares packing area when packaging different products.
• Helps relieve for breaks and lunches.
• Must be able to safely maneuver and lift up to 50lbs.
• Understands how to operate the Shrink Wrapper.
• Helps clean floor and equipment in packing room weekly in addition to other Sanitation duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
