Job summary

Solenis is seeking a Packager for the Packer - Pool Chemicals role to support packaging, inspection, and handling of finished Calcium Hypochlorite products. You will rotate through Packout, Blending, and Briquettes to align with production schedules, ensuring quality and accurate records.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a 12-hour rotating shift, PPE compliance, and a focus on safety and quality.

• Rotate through Packout, Blending, and Briquettes based on production schedules.
• Perform visual inspections and act on quality concerns.
• Maintain accurate production and rework records with weight verification.
• Safely operate forklifts and other production equipment.
• Assist with minor equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Support training and onboarding of new team members.
• Assist with housekeeping and related tasks.
• Participate in Emergency Response Team training as required.
• Follow safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

The Packer - Pool Chemicals is responsible for packaging, inspecting, and handling finished Calcium Hypochlorite products while supporting safe and efficient plant operations. This position rotates through Packout, Blending, and Briquettes assignments and serves as the final quality checkpoint before products are shipped to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Package and seal Calcium Hypochlorite products in 25 lb, 50 lb, and 100 lb pails and 2,000 lb Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs).
• Rotate through Packout, Blending, and Briquettes positions based on production schedules.
• Perform visual inspections of finished products and take appropriate action when quality concerns are identified.
• Maintain accurate production and rework records, including weight verification and documentation.
• Safely operate forklifts, lift-assist devices, compactors, and other production equipment.
• Assist with minor equipment repairs and basic maintenance activities.
• Support the training and onboarding of new team members.
• Assist Process Operators with housekeeping, screen cleaning, and other assigned tasks.
• Participate in Emergency Response Team (ERT) training and emergency response activities as required.
• Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
• Ability to safely work in a manufacturing environment and wear required PPE.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow written procedures.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Manufacturing, production, packaging, or warehouse experience.
• Forklift operating experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in a chemical, industrial, or process manufacturing environment.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $47,950.00 and $70,323.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
