Job summary

Solenis LLC in Charleston, Tennessee is seeking a Packer - Pool Chemicals to join our on-site production team. You will package, inspect, and handle finished Calcium Hypochlorite products and rotate through Packout, Blending, and Briquettes to support safe, efficient operations.

The role requires a 12-hour rotating shift, basic math for weights, and the ability to follow safety and quality procedures. Prior packaging or warehouse experience is preferred, with commitment to quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Package and seal Calcium Hypochlorite products in 25 lb, 50 lb, and 100 lb pails and 2,000 lb IBCs.
• Rotate through Packout, Blending, and Briquettes per production schedule.
• Perform visual inspections and take action on quality concerns.
• Maintain accurate production and rework records, including weight verification.
• Safely operate forklifts, lift-assist devices, and other production equipment.
• Assist with basic maintenance and equipment repairs.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
• Participate in housekeeping and safety-related tasks; follow all procedures.

This position rotates through Packout, Blending, and Briquettes assignments and serves as the final quality checkpoint before products are shipped to customers. ## Key Responsibilities* Package and seal Calcium Hypochlorite products in 25 lb, 50 lb, and 100 lb pails and 2,000 lb Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs).* Rotate through Packout, Blending, and Briquettes positions based on production schedules.* Perform visual inspections of finished products and take appropriate action when quality concerns are identified.* Maintain accurate production and rework records, including weight verification and documentation.* Safely operate forklifts, lift-assist devices, compactors, and other production equipment.* Assist with minor equipment repairs and basic maintenance activities.* Support the training and onboarding of new team members.* Assist Process Operators with housekeeping, screen cleaning, and other assigned tasks.* Participate in Emergency Response Team (ERT) training and emergency response activities as required.* Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures.* Perform other duties as assigned. ## Minimum Qualifications* High school diploma or GED.* Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.* Ability to safely work in a manufacturing environment and wear required PPE.* Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.* Ability to maintain accurate records and follow written procedures. ## Preferred Skills & Experience* Manufacturing, production, packaging, or warehouse experience.* Forklift operating experience.* Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.* Experience working in a chemical, industrial, or process manufacturing environment. #LI-OnsiteWe understand that candidates will not meet every single desired qualification.
