Job summary

The Hershey Company Plymouth, IN is hiring a Packer to visually inspect filling lines, manually pack and stack finished product, and support sanitation activities. You will ensure quality by weighing bags, setting scales, and maintaining accurate documentation.

This role involves 12-hour shifts (day or night), 2-2-3 rotation, and requires standard physical duties. Prior experience is a plus, with an emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork within a fast-paced production setting.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect, monitor the filling process, manually pack, and stack finished product.
• Maintain 5s and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Set up scales for bag, bulk, and tote weights; weigh one bag per case.
• Pallet stack as needed; perform rework as required.
• Fill out paperwork including verifications, 5S, changeover, and sanitation forms.

Pay:

Starting at $20.28/hr, overnight shift has $1.00/hr shift differential

Plant operates on various schedules (schedule assignment determined by candidate preference and plant needs):

2-2-3 schedule: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off rotation.Working 3-4 days/week (One week: Sun, Wed, ThursNext week:Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat).

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintainthe 5’s and GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices)

Visually inspect and manually pack bags of product into boxes

Recognize and report product quality issues

Set up scales for bag, bulk, and/or tote weights

Weigh one bag per case

Understand the information on the lead label

Pallet stack as needed

Pour on rework

Fill out all paperwork completely, accurately, and timely (including first case verifications, daily 5S paperwork, changeover/sanitation paperwork, etc.)

Cover bulk lines and recognize and report bad product

Clean and organize the packing area using approved chemicals and PPE as applicable

Perform shut down, start up, and changeover procedures

Rework product as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire
