Job summary

Kimball Midwest in Columbus, OH is seeking a 1st shift packer for our distribution center. You will package parts, set up the scale, and ensure proper weight and labeling for shipments.

The role involves inspecting merchandise quality, meeting production targets, and lifting up to 50 pounds in a climate-controlled environment. Monday–Friday, 5:30am–2pm, with a $20/hour wage and $200 bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• This position requires the ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to follow and understand written and oral instructions.
• This position requires the ability to concentrate and to communicate with management and co-workers.
• This position requires the ability to lift objects weighing fifty (50) pounds waist to waist.
• This position requires the ability to push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds.
• This position requires the ability to walk and stand on concrete floors for long periods of time.
• This position requires the ability to frequently bend and twist the back.
• This position requires the ability to finely manipulate and grip objects.
• This position requires the ability to squat and reach.

Job description

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for a 1st shift packer in our Columbus, Oh distribution center.

Responsibilities

• Packaging parts: Sets up scale machine for proper weight of box being packaged Lifts waist to waist and carries up to 50 pounds Fills box with parts until proper weight is indicated and affixes labels to boxes Packs boxes onto shelf boxes Visually inspects all merchandise for quality and checks for any defects or bad plating. Accurately packages merchandise while maintaining a high production level. Documents quality standards including product accuracy, labeling quality, and country of origin accuracy.

Additional Information

This position pays $20 per hour. Plus $200 BONUS opportunities

The hours are Monday-Friday, 5:30am-2pm.
