Job summary

Amcor LLC in Alsip, IL is seeking a production operator to remove finished products, inspect quality, and ensure packaging meets specifications. You will read orders, assist in start-ups, perform quality checks, and maintain neat labeling and records on a fast-paced line.

The role requires manual dexterity, ability to lift 30 pounds, and experience with GMP practices. JDE data entry and paperwork printing are included tasks in daily duties.

Qualifications

  • Must read and understand work orders and specifications.
  • Able to read a tape measure and weigh scale.
  • Strong manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Read work orders for product specifications and packaging instructions.
  • Inspect products for customer requirements and defects.
  • Assist in start-up and changeovers of machinery or orders.
  • Perform quality checks on all orders regularly.
  • Adhere to packaging requirements per Production Work Order.
  • Enter production in JDE and print all necessary paperwork, including closing out last skid.
  • Complete at least one Workplace Observation per month.
  • Place customer labels on cartons or gaylords neatly, follow identification sheets and bar codes.
  • Follow GMPs and maintain a clean, safe work area.
  • Maintain paperwork order and avoid intermixing with others.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job DescriptionSummaryTo remove finished product from the machines, inspect product to ensure quality specifications have been met and that all packaging requirements have been done according to production work order.ResponsibilitiesRead work order for product specifications and any special instructions concerning packaging, special skids, cartons, cradles, banding requirements, and samplesInspects products for customer requirements and any defectsAssists in start-up and change over of machinery or ordersPerforms all required quality checks on all orders on a regular basisAdheres to all packaging requirements per Production Work OrderCapable of entering production in JDE and printing all necessary paperwork, to include closing out last skid of order.Completes at least one Work Place Observation per month.Place customer labels on end of cartons or gaylords in a straight and neat manner.
