Job summary

Sealed Air Corporation is seeking an Inspector/Packer to inspect and pack bags, delivering high quality products efficiently while minimizing scrap. You will report to the Shift Leader and work on an afternoon/night shift.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and the ability to read measurements. Prior manufacturing experience and bilingual English/Spanish are preferred. Training emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork on the production line.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to read measuring tapes and product specifications with mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Experience using pallet jacks and machine hoists is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office applications).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Key Operating Procedures, including but not limited to Company and facility Policies.
  • Safety – LTCT; use of proper PPE; adherence to all applicable safety rules.
  • Quality – PQCT, Bag Specifications, Testing Frequencies and Procedures.
  • SOPs – Methods for performing work.
  • SSOP/Good Housekeeping standards (keep machines and area sanitized and clean).
  • Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Food/Safety Security.
  • HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point).
  • Food Regulatory and Customer Specifications.
  • Responsible for scrap, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Responsible for ensuring that box and tote counts are accurate as per the bag specification.
  • Learn to pack all bag specifications and at all machines.
  • Assist and work closely with Quality, Maintenance, and technical resources to ensure that issues are being addressed to optimize the performance of the line.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improvements.
  • Communicate positively and respectfully to resolve all issues.
  • Complete all documentation accurately.
  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Job Description

Pay: $23.95

Shift Differential: $2.00

Schedule: 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM; Monday - Friday

Shift: Afternoon / Night

Position Overview

The Inspector/Packer is responsible for inspecting and packing bags to safely deliver the highest quality products at the best efficiency and lowest scrap possible using effective manufacturing methods. Inspector/Packer personnel report to the Shift Leader.
