The role focuses on labeling finished goods, maximizing crop yield through careful harvesting, following SOPs, contributing to daily quotas, and supporting sanitation and equipment upkeep.

Job description

Compensation: $16 to $18 per hour, based on your background.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, with shifts available from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

As a Farm Harvester and Packager, your primary focus is to ensure our goods are gathered and prepared for distribution with precision. You will uphold rigorous standards for cleanliness, food safety, and quality, serving as a vital contributor to our team's ability to reach production targets and preserve the condition of our harvest.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities

• Ensure all finished goods are labeled correctly and meet weight and quality specifications.
• Utilize precise harvesting methods to help maximize crop yield and maintain product excellence.
• Support the team by strictly following all established food safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Contribute to the achievement of our daily production quotas and output targets.
• Keep your designated workspace tidy and orderly to promote a safe environment.
• Support farm operations by assisting with sanitation, system maintenance, and transplanting tasks.
• Operate various cleaning tools, including mops, brooms, and motorized floor scrubbers.
• Complete other operational tasks as directed by management.

Requirements

• Prior experience in packaging or harvesting is welcomed but not strictly required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and leadership.
• Capacity to comprehend and execute both written and spoken directives.
• Time Management: Effectively organize your workload to ensure productivity goals are consistently met.

Physical Requirements

• Capable of remaining on your feet for long durations.
• Frequent physical activity including bending, lifting, and navigating the production floor.
• Regularly handle and transport items weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Occasionally lift loads of up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions

• Environment may involve humidity, moisture, cleaning agents, and active machinery.
• Noise levels may range from moderate to high.
• Mandatory use of required personal protective equipment.
• Expect warmer temperatures during the height of the season.
