Amcor is seeking a Molding Packer to inspect products for defects and pack quality items according to work instructions. The role involves visual inspection, accurate labeling, and keeping a clean, organized work area on a 12-hour rotating shift in Valdosta, GA.

Responsibilities include reading travelers, identifying non-conformities, and reporting safety concerns. The position emphasizes safety and compliance with Berry quality guidelines and company values.

Formación

  • Must be able to read travelers and follow instructions.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds.
  • Standing/walking for 12 hours per day.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and required.

Responsabilidades

  • Visually inspect product and identify non-conformities.
  • Pack quality product into boxes per customer specifications and Berry guidelines.
  • Immediately place non-conforming product into scrap bins when found.
  • Read travelers and verify labels for accuracy.
  • Prepare packaging according to traveler instructions and maintain a clean workstation.
  • Report safety concerns to the Group Leader and follow food safety responsibilities.

Job DescriptionDay shift: 6:45am - 7pm with every other weekend offPURPOSE: The primary responsibility of the Molding Packer is to inspect the product for defects and pack quality product according to work instructions.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensuring my safety and the safety of my co-workers is a core value and is my number one priority.Visually inspect product and identify product non-conformities.Pack quality product into boxes, according to customer specifications and Berry quality guidelines.Immediately place non-conforming product into the scrap bins as soon as it is found.Read travelers and compare labels for accuracy.Prepare packaging in accordance with traveler instructions.Repetitive motion work with hands.Communicate questions regarding quality with necessary personnel.Maintain a clean and organized work station.Must be able to read the traveler and complete paperwork.Pack lids or containers from any assigned machine.Knows which supplies are needed each day and where to get them.Report any safety concerns or problems to the Group Leader.Staff are informed and held accountable for their food safety and regulatory responsibilities;Staff are positively encouraged and required to notify management of actual or potential food safety issues; andStaff are empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work.Make boxes, as necessaryEDUCATIONAL, SKILL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.Lifting Requirements - Ability to lift 35 pounds over head.Walking/Standing-Requirements ability to walk and or stand for 12 hours per day.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.At a minimum, the environment requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment such as: safety glasses, ear plugs, bump caps, beard/hair nets, and steel toed shoes. Additional PPE maybe needed for various tasks.
