Job summary

Debbie's Staffing Services, Inc. is assisting a client in King, NC with a 1st shift Packer role. The position runs Monday–Thursday, 6:30 am–5:00 pm, with mandatory overtime and weekends.

Starting pay is $16.00 per hour, with weekly pay and direct deposit; temp-to-hire opportunity. The Packer will assist in product packing, perform housekeeping, and maintain blend integrity. Forklift experience and warehouse/manufacturing background are required; the environment is non-climate controlled and

Qualifications

• Forklift experience is required.
• Warehouse/Manufacturing experience is required.
• Must be able to stand/walk the entire shift.
• Must be ok working in a non-climate control facility.
• Must be comfortable working in a tobacco environment and dusty environment.
• Background Check/Drug Test.

Responsibilities

• Make boxes and lids as needed.
• Ensure empty containers are clean prior to placement at finished product packout.
• Work with Packout Operator in filling containers.
• Ensure equipment is kept clean and free of dust buildup, including conveyor pans and covers.
• Assist with blend changes to ensure clean cans and boxes are in place.
• Clean floors to reduce contamination risk and minimize product loss.
• Operate lifts to clean areas not accessible from floor or catwalks.
• Clean process equipment as needed or required.
• Ensure that non-tobacco related material contamination of finished product is eliminated by good housekeeping, close observation of product
• Comply with all ISO Procedures implemented
• Any other duties as directed
• If needed may use Forklift

Job Summary

Helps with product packing of the product. Perform cleaning duties to ensure housekeeping standards are met and blend integrity is maintained.
