Job summary

Debbie's Staffing is seeking a 3rd Shift Packer in Rural Hall, NC to join a production team on the packing line. You will package products, inspect quality, label and sort items, and help maintain a clean, safe work area.

Hours are 8:00pm–6:00am, Monday through Thursday, with overtime as needed. Compensation is $15.00 per hour with weekly pay and opportunities to contribute to efficient workflow on the line.

Qualifications

• Must pass all new-hire screenings.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Must follow PPE requirements (steel toe shoes).

Job Summary:

Responsible for efficiently and accurately packaging products according to established standards and procedures. Will work as part of a team on a production line, ensuring that products are prepared, sorted, labeled, and packed for distribution. This role is essential for maintaining product quality, meeting production quotas, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the packing line.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Control: Inspect products for quality, defects, and adherence to specifications, and ensure that only products meeting the established standards are packaged.
• Packing: Operate packaging machinery and equipment, such as conveyor belts, sealing machines, and labeling machines, to package products into containers, boxes, or bags.
• Labeling and Sorting: Apply labels, stickers, or barcodes to products and ensure that they are correctly sorted and grouped according to product type and packaging requirements.
• Material Handling: Safely handle and transport packaging materials, containers, and product components within the packing area.
• Safety: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the packing area, including regular cleaning of equipment and workspaces.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues on the production line to ensure smooth and efficient operations, including assisting with tasks as needed.
• Problem Solving: Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to supervisors for timely resolution.
