Job summary

Associated Materials Innovations is seeking a Packer to safely package finished products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Surprise, AZ. You will prepare packaging materials, inspect product quality, and maintain documentation while supporting production operations.

Responsibilities include assisting with machine start-ups/shutdowns, meeting 5S standards, using measuring tools, and adhering to PPE requirements to ensure safe, efficient shipments.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred; plastics or extrusion experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement is a plus.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.
• Ability to read work instructions, production paperwork, and product specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform packing duties, including packing finished products into cartons and preparing boxes for shipment.
• Erect, label, tape, and palletize cartons according to product specs.
• Assist production operators during machine start-ups, shutdowns, and product changes.
• Conduct scheduled quality inspections to ensure products meet specs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area per 5S standards.
• Complete box counts and production output records accurately.
