Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a detail-oriented Packer to join a fast-moving production team in Rockford, IL. You will package products, inspect quality, and prepare orders for shipping, following SOPs and batch records.

The role offers multi-shift coverage (1st-3rd and weekends) with varied hours, focusing on accuracy, safety, and teamwork. Previous basic math and reading comprehension are helpful, with on-site work and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• TABE testing requirements met at approved grade level for position
• Basic math skills
• The ability to read simple prose in familiar contexts
• Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction
• Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Package products according to SOPs and batch specifications for shipping
• Inspect products for defects and ensure quality compliance
• Remove defective products for rework or disposal
• Alert personnel to potential quality issues and stop the line if needed
• Rotate through packing functions and maintain cleanliness and 5S standards
• Follow safety policies and use appropriate protective gear
• Complete production documentation legibly and accurately
