Job summary

Pretium Packaging, a leader in injection-blow molded plastic containers, is seeking a Packer in Troy, Alabama. You will inspect and package products, ensure quality, label packages, and contribute to efficient, safe production with daily teamwork.

The role is full-time with benefits including 401k matching, life insurance, paid time off, and holidays. Prior packaging or manufacturing experience is preferred, with attention to detail and reliability valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous packaging/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to spot defects.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry.
• Physical stamina to stand long periods and lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished plastic products for defects, such as cracks, deformities, or color inconsistencies.
• Package plastic products according to specifications, including selecting appropriate packaging materials and ensuring proper sealing.
• Label packages accurately with product information and any necessary warning labels.
• Monitor and maintain production line efficiency by identifying and resolving any packaging or production issues.
• Communicate any quality concerns or issues to supervisors and collaborate on solutions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including disposing of waste materials and adhering to safety guidelines.
• Monitor and control inventory of packaging materials and notify supervisors when supplies need to be replenished.
• Other duties as assigned.
