Pretium Packaging is hiring a Packer in Troy, Alabama for a full-time, on-site role. You will inspect plastic products, package them per specs, and label items with required information for shipment.

Qualifications

• Inspect finished plastic products for defects.
• Package products per specifications and ensure proper sealing.
• Label packages with product information and warnings.
• Monitor production line efficiency and resolve packaging issues.
• Communicate quality concerns to supervisors and collaborate on solutions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area with safety in mind.
• Monitor inventory of packaging materials and notify when replenishment is needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished products for defects and packaging correctness.
• Package items to specification and ensure secure sealing.
• Label every package with accurate product data and warnings.
• Monitor line efficiency and address packaging issues promptly.
• Communicate quality concerns to supervisors and assist with corrective actions.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety rules.
• Track packaging materials and report low stock to supervision.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the team lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect finished plastic products for defects, such as cracks, deformities, or color inconsistencies.
• Package plastic products according to specifications, including selecting appropriate packaging materials and ensuring proper sealing.
• Label packages accurately with product information and any necessary warning labels.
• Monitor and maintain production line efficiency by identifying and resolving any packaging or production issues.
• Communicate any quality concerns or issues to supervisors and collaborate on solutions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including disposing of waste materials and adhering to safety guidelines.
• Monitor and control inventory of packaging materials and notify supervisors when supplies need to be replenished.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging role preferred.
• Attention to detail and the ability to spot defects or inconsistencies.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record‑keeping.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move heavy objects as needed.
