Job summary

Pete & Gerry’s Organics, LLC is seeking a Flex Operator to support daily production needs in our egg facility. The role may include final in-process inspection, staging of eggs, machine setup, date code checks, and carton inventory management.

Shifts include 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and weekend part-time, with flexibility for changes. We offer comprehensive benefits and a shared commitment to animal welfare and planet-friendly farming.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older.
• Able to perform fast-paced, repetitive motions.
• Repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Walk/stand 8+ hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Pack egg cartons into cases.
• Check date codes on production run board.
• Apply and inspect egg carton labels for date codes.
• Keep work area clean at all times – clean up egg matter, paper, banding straps, etc.
• Assist co-workers as needed.
• Maintain daily and end of shift housekeeping.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, GMPs and Food Safety requirements at all times.

The Role At a Glance

The Flex Operator will vary based on the needs of the day. This role is flexible and could include duties such as final in-process inspection, staging of eggs, machine and date code setup, carton inventory management, or staging cartons for the day’s run.

• Assist co-workers as needed
• Maintain daily and end of shift housekeeping
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, GMPs and Food Safety requirements at all times

Work Schedule & Hours

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:30 PM – 5:00 AM
• Weekend Shift: Saturday and Sundays Only - Part-Time
• Shifts up to 12 hours per day, based on operational needs
• Start and end times may vary due to truck arrivals, order fulfillment, machine downtime, or production changes
• Flexibility required to adjust schedule as needed
