Job summary

Pete & Gerry's Organics LLC in Indiana is seeking a Flex Operator to support daily production tasks on the egg-packaging line. The role may include final in-process inspection, staging of eggs, machine setup, carton inventory management, or staging cartons for the day’s run.

You'll contribute to high-quality products while upholding food safety and animal welfare standards. The position offers multiple shifts, friendly team culture, and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Pack egg cartons into cases
• Check the production run board for date codes and accuracy
• Apply and inspect egg carton labels to ensure correct date codes
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Assist co-workers as needed
• Maintain daily and end of shift housekeeping
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, GMPs and Food Safety requirements

The Role at a Glance:

The Flex Operator will vary based on the needs of the day. This role is flexible and could include duties such as final in-process inspection, staging of eggs, machine and date code setup, carton inventory management, or staging cartons for the day’s run.

• Pack egg cartons into cases
• Check the production run board for date codes and accuracy
• Apply and inspect egg carton labels to ensure correct date codes
• Keep work area clean at all times – clean up egg matter, paper, banding straps, etc. whenever time allows and prior to any breaks
• Assist co-workers as needed
• Maintain daily and end of shift housekeeping
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, GMPs and Food Safety requirements at all times

Work Schedule & Hours:

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:30 PM – 5:00 AM
• Weekend Shift: Saturday and Sundays Only - Part-Time
• Shifts up to 12 hours per day, based on operational needs
• Start and end times may vary due to truck arrivals, order fulfillment, machine downtime, or production changes
• Flexibility required to adjust schedule as needed
