Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 3-5 years in a packing and shipping role.
• Basic woodworking skills with the ability to measure length using carpenter's rule.
• Must be able to push, lift, pull up to 50 pounds.
• Visual acuity for reading orders, machine dial gauges and precision measuring.
• Proactive problem solver who can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Packaging shipments using care to ensure appropriate containers, protective inserts/padding, etc.
• Assembling wooden containers using circular, chop and table saws as required
• Complete required paperwork and administrative tasks
• Ensure safety measures and protocols are followed and contribute to a Continuous Improvement mindset
• And most importantly, enjoys coming to work, being part of a team, and getting “stuff” done

The Packer is an important member of the team and will be responsible for planning, preparing and packing products for shipment from our Woburn, MA facility. Responsibilities range from Construction of boxes and containers to properly selecting materials and packing shipments to ensure a safe arrival to the customer.
