Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Packer in Lafayette, LA. Earn $10.00–$11.00 per hour with a Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. schedule. You will pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Responsibilities include assembling boxes, taping bottoms, and preparing seasonings for shipping, with emphasis on attention to detail and inventory accuracy.

Looking for Packer jobs in Lafayette where accuracy and speed keep orders moving? This opportunity lets you pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment while helping customers receive the right items on time and in excellent condition.

Job Duties

• Employees will be assembling cardboard case boxes that will pack canisters of seasonings.
• Put boxes together and tape the bottom of the box with a handheld tape dispenser
• Put seasonings in the boxes and get it ready for shipment.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Ability to accurately pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Experience reading pick tickets, packing lists, shipping labels, or electronic order systems.
• Ability to safely use RF scanners, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other warehouse equipment as required.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to inventory accuracy and quality.
• Dependable attendance and the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced warehouse environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, fulfillment, distribution, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience is preferred.
• Experience with RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is beneficial.
• Knowledge of inventory control, shipping procedures, or order fulfillment best practices is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate reliability, productivity, teamwork, and attention to detail are well positioned for success as a Packer.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive warehouse tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely handle products while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in warehouse and fulfillment environments while following established safety procedures.
• Hair net and gloves must be worn.
